# StableHex

### General Introduction:

\
• Three reward multiplier tiers (6x, 4x, 2x)\
• A StableHex will consist of cluster of seven Res 5 hexes (forming roughly a Res 4 hex), same as the previous "Superhexes"\
• Fine-grade RRR (Rolling Reward Rate) calculation with consideration of the number of local available satellites\
• Bonus rewards paid out at the end of each 30 day period\
• Reduction of Bonus reward for downtime\
• StableHexes will not expire until ended by a future passed GIP

&#x20;

### StableHex Tier Structure:

&#x20;

Each StableHex is assigned to one of three multiplier tiers:

| Tier   | Multiplier | Target Base Stations# | Scenario                          |
| ------ | ---------- | --------------------- | --------------------------------- |
| Tier 1 | 6×         | 200                   | Remote area, no existing coverage |
| Tier 2 | 4×         | 1,000                 | Weak coverage                     |
| Tier 3 | 2×         | 2,000                 | Reinforcement coverage            |

Target program size: 3,200 eligible base stations

Target base station numbers are dynamic and could be updated based on customer requirements.

&#x20;

### Reward Structure:

&#x20;

Each eligible base station earns rewards as follows:

Base Reward (1×)

· Paid daily.

· Distributed normally.

Bonus Reward (Multiplier − 1×)

Paid out at the end of each 30 day period.<br>

Example:

\
6x tier = Base reward paid daily, 5x Bonus held until end of the 30 day period.

30 day Performance Evaluation:

\
Base station uptime determines how much of the bonus is awarded. Fine-grade RRR is calculated to capture uptime more precisely. 30 day RRR will be used.

| 30-Day RRR | Bonus Released |
| ---------- | -------------- |
| >= 99.5%   | 100%           |
| 99%-99.5%  | 90%            |
| 98%-99%    | 75%            |
| 90-98%     | 50%            |
| <90%       | 0%             |

Unreleased token goes back to mining reward pool.

&#x20;

### StableHex Selection Criteria:

The Geodnet Foundation will deploy StableHexes based on paid customer needs and also based on the following criteria:

\
Tier 1 (6x)\
&#x20; • A new base station is highly wanted in a remote/hard to reach area.

\
Tier 2 (4x)\
&#x20; • A new station is critical to to improve network coverage.

\
Tier 3 (2x)\
&#x20; • A new station is important to improve network coverage.

&#x20;

### Station selection for StableHex Bonus:

\
The first active station installed in a StableHex with a 7 day RRR of ≥ 98% will be awarded the rewards multiplier spot. The 30 day period begins with that selection timestamp.

\
In the event of multiple eligible stations, the station with the earliest timestamp of install in the StableHex will be awarded the spot.

\
At the end of each 30 day cycle, if the current StabeHex station's 30 day RRR is ≥ 99.5%, it will retain the StableHex spot.

\
If the station's 30 day RRR is instead < 99.5%, it will lose the spot and a check will be made to select an eligible station based on the selection criteria above. If no installed station in the StableHex meets the selection criteria, the check will be repeated daily until an eligible station is selected. The 30 day cycle then will start anew with that new selection timestamp.
